About Our Pastors

Pastors Scott and Alicia met and married in 1987.

They received many prophrtic words, individually and ,together, which

confirmed their call to the ministry. 

  In 1996, they received the baton into ministry, from Pastor bob Kellett,

when he went home to be with The Lord. Around 2000, The Lord directed

them to change the name of the Church, to "New City Church", which

proclaims their God-given mandate to see the city of Kalamazoo become

new through an invasion of the Presence and the Glory of the Lord!

CITY TRANSFORMATION, THROUGH DIVINE HABITATION!

 In 2001, they were led by The Lord to move to our current building,

on Portage Street, where they passionately pursue God, His Kingdom,

and all He has for them, in this area. They are truly believing and 

contending for His Glory to come upun

Pastors Scott and Alicia Nelson founded New City Church in 1996.

Their son's Sam, David & Josiah now join them.

Our History

Through many prophetic words and with the confirmation of spiritual oversight, Pastors Scott and Alicia were called into full-time ministry in 1996.

In 2001, they were led by the Lord to move to their current building, on Portage Street, in Kalamazoo, Michigan, where the New City Church Body passionately pursues the presence of the Lord and the fullness of His Kingdom!

We believe that His Glory is shining upon His Church, as prophesied in Isaiah 60!

Our Mandate

Mandate: We are called to be an Apostolic Revival Hub, where we honor and experience the supernatural presence, Glory, power & love of God as a church and as a city!

This Hub is where the saints grow, are healed, trained, equipped, set in place, and sent out to impact the globe with the power of the Kingdom!
